Milton Keynes Marina is a modern city centre marina nestling in a 15 miles lock free stretch of the Grand Union canal. The Marina is owned and run as a family business, aiming to offer a friendly and professional service.

All facilities are on hand including a workshop, slipway, and secure car parking. The jetties have been fully upgraded and all berths have access to 16 amp electric supply. We can accommodate, Narrowboats, Widebeams and Cruisers of any length. The small chandlery/brokerage/office is open 7 days a week between 10am and 4pm.

The Marina is approximately 10 minutes from Milton Keynes mainline train station (London 30 minutes), and 10 minutes from junction 14 of the M1. Milton Keynes indoor shopping centre, theatre district, and the many other sports & leisure activities that form an integral part of Milton Keynes are close by. There is a Chinese and Indian takeaway, hotel, pub with restaurant onsite.  Link to UK Boating feature on You Tube.

At Milton Keynes Marina we are a small family business, however we are also running the Marina as a commercial business and want to see the services we are offering grow successful through excellent customer service.

The information provided on this page is intended to help everyone enjoy and relax during their time with us, not burdened by rules and regulations. However it is important that it is clear to everyone what is and isn’t permitted on site to avoid any confusion or conflict. It is also vital that you, as the customer, understand your rights and responsibilities and, at the same time, Milton Keynes Marina Ltd’s rights and responsibilities as the marina operator. From applying for a mooring to selling your boat and much more, these terms and conditions and accompanying forms should tell you everything you need to know. Mooring Fees

We offer a number of different contracts for moorings, the costs are summarised in the attachment below.

MK AFloat

We offer Self Steer Day Boat Hire with Mary Jane.  The terms and conditions of hire can be found in the attachment below.

Electricity Charges

Mains electric shore-power is available to boats properly equipped for shore supply. Electric is available by pre-paid meter cards (available from the Marina office).  Metered charge per Kwh unit is based on supply cost. Charges for metered units include standing charges, monthly demand charge, capacity charge, climate change levy, repair and renewal costs, NICEIC certification costs, maintenance costs, and administration costs. The current price per Kwh unit is displayed on each meter via the blue display information button, this charge may alter without notice if supply costs alter.

Important notice: Electric supply continuity cannot be guaranteed. Mains electricity is only available to boats with a properly equipped and protected ring-main installation. Electricity is supplied in accordance with OFGEM regulations.

British Waterways Boat Transfer Form

The form below needs to be completed when a boat is sold or removed from British Waterways waters.  It is provided here as many customers have requested it in the past.
